2012 EYE OF THE SHAMAN

Log Line: A once future past.
At the end of the Fourth Sun Age evil ran rampant in the world. In the last great battle, between the forces of darkness and light, HUNAB KA, the Mayan SUN GOD, banished the DEATH LORDS to the underworld. An angry KA then destroyed the earth by flood.
The waters receded, the great pyramids built and the Death Lords plot their return. To rule earth they must the possess the key to the future, the Calendar of the Mayas.
684 A.D
KING PAKAL, protector of the Mayan Calendar, is dead. It is now up to Jaguar Paw, his only son, to continue the duty of his lineage and protect the calendar from evil.
Jaguar Paw ascends the throne in a spectacular ceremony and weds LADY FOREST, the most beautiful princess in the kingdom. Their happiness is short-lived. When Venus, harbinger of war rises next, a Death Lord named EK MUT, launches a brutal attack.
Kingdom in flames, Jaguar Paw and Lady Forest in chains, the calendar falls into evil hands.
2012 A.D
BRIAN CAMERONis an amateur astronomer and last in a long line of famous scientists and astronomers. He comes from a rich heritage seeped is methodical practice and logical thinking that defines our world solely upon logic and fact. If it can’t be quantified by one of the 5 senses…it doesn’t exist.
Now a top scientist at CALTECH/JPL he is unable to explain why a mysterious light emanating from the center of THE MILKY WAY does not appear on JPL’s powerful computers. Brian offers his theory amd is fired in disgrace. On his way home an powerful earthquake rips through Los Angeles.
Brian rescues a woman, whom he later discovers is the only granddaughter of a powerful shaman. They fall in love. Soon they’re at loggerheads…her openness and metaphysical beliefs conflict with his nothing but the facts mentality. She talks of shifting shapes and altered consciousness, he talks about her frail grasp on reality, when in fact, it is he that is loosing grip.
He meets the old shaman who leads them on a dangerous journey within where their past life is revealed. At the end of it they emerge bathed in a new found meaning of life and what is necessary to prevent a cataclysmic catastropehe
Their lessons come to an abrupt end when grandfather disappears. Their lives are now in danger. Ek Mut, also reborn in our age, is head of a clandestine government agency responsible for perpetrating dark deeds. They flee to Mexico,
Our world descends into chaos as December 21st approaches. Piece by piece our highly developed infrastructure crumbles.
Deep in the jungle of the Yucatan people from all walks, drawn inexplicably together, prepare for the final battle against the darkness.
